Tampa Business Leader Jill Collins Joins Phoenix House Board of Directors in Florida

New York, NY, March 2, 2007 – TAMPA , FL – Tampa business leader and real estate developer Jill Collins has joined the Board of Directors of Phoenix House in Florida, it was announced today.

“I’m delighted to welcome Jill to the board of directors,” said James H. Doyle III, Chairman. “She shares our dedication to help troubled kids and adults in our community get their lives back on track and has already proven her passion for our mission by donating her development expertise as well as supporting the Home Builders Institute Vocational Training partnership. Her appointment will enable us to build on our ties to the business community and to provide greater support to Phoenix House programs.”

Currently a Principal with Barclay Partners, a real estate development company, Ms. Collins has been employed in the construction and homebuilding industry since 1997. Her previous experience was in the areas of land acquisition and engineering consulting services for companies such as KB Home and Law Engineering. Ms. Collins holds a B.A. degree in Business Management from Eckerd College.

Ms. Collins is the President of Real Estate Investment Council, a board member of the National Association of Regional Councils, chair of the Government Affairs Committee for the Tampa Bay Builders Association, was recently appointed to the Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Citizens’ Advisory Committee and the Hillsborough County Transportation Task Force. Ms. Collins previously served as Vice Chair of the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council and was a board member of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay. A graduate of Leadership Tampa, she was named to Tampa Bay Business Journal’s “40 under 40” list in 2000.

Renowned for its effective alcohol and drug treatment programs, Phoenix House has helped Florida adolescents, adults, and their families overcome the problems associated with substance abuse since the early 1990s, empowering them with the skills to lead healthy, productive and rewarding lives. Phoenix Houses of Florida currently operates outpatient treatment programs for teens and their families in Tampa, and residential programs for adults in Citra, Ocala, and Tampa.
