Campaign Phoenix House, a $30 million national campaign, is now underway. We have already raised $7.5 million nationally. In New York alone, we’ve raised more than $4.4 million. What this means is, we are securing our future and in turn the future of the kids and families who need us – making sure that we continue to provide the nation’s best treatment and prevention services.
Heading up the campaign is Phoenix House board chairman Edward D. Miller, former president and CEO of AXA Financial. Our two national spokespersons are Gen. Barry R. McCaffrey, USA (Ret.) and Florida’s First Lady Columba Bush.
At the start of the Campaign, the Cedar Hill Foundation created a $1 million challenge that will match contributions to our Fund for Clinical Excellence. Board members and other supporters have responded to this challenge, knowing that our continued research into treatment models and practices keeps us at the forefront of treatment and prevention — making Phoenix House what it is today.
To meet the ever rising demand for services for youngsters, we are creating new Phoenix Academies and expanding our existing programs for youth across the country. Our unique academy model is designed to specifically address the treatment and educational needs of teenagers.
So far, we have raised funds for a Phoenix Academy in Tampa, Florida. We are also planning to expand Academy capacity in New England, rebuild facilities at California’s San Diego Academy, and create an endowment for Academy support in Texas.
Each young person we treat embodies hope for the future. Please help us secure their future and the future of Phoenix House by supporting Campaign
Phoenix House.
