New Year’s Polar Bear Plunge Supports Phoenix Academy of Long Island
Phoenix House recently received the full proceeds of the 8th annual New Year’s Seafood Shop-sponsored “Polar Bear” plunge , generously donated by Colin Mather, owner of the Seafood Shop in Wainscott, East Hampton. A crowd of hundreds of enthusiastic onlookers cheered on the “Bears” as they arrived at the shore after a 1.6 mile group run from the Seafood Shop. Later, all congregated at a private residence to enjoy hot food and beverages at the celebratory fundraising gathering in support of Phoenix Academy of Long Island. |
