| Phoenix House Councils for Drug Education
are located in Austin, Dallas and the Houston/Galveston area,
serving school districts throughout the state of Texas.
Counselors visit schools, parent groups and community organizations
to talk about the effects of drugs; administer screenings and
assessments; provide referrals to local treatment programs,
and mobilize the community around drug-free environments across
the state of Texas. Parenting classes and intensive life skills
training are available in 10 different school districts. The
Councils also reach out to adults and adolescents about the
dangers of tobacco products.
We reach more than 7,000 kids each year through our prevention
and intervention programs. To find out more about the work
of the Councils for Drug Education, please click on Admissions. |
