First Southwest Grant

   Hill A. Feinberg

Phoenix House in Texas has received its largest donation to date – a $250,000 grant from First Southwest Company – given in support of the Phoenix Academy of Dallas. The grant was awarded by the board of directors of First Southwest Company in recognition of the generosity and leadership of Hill A. Feinberg, and his commitment to Phoenix House and the children of Texas.

Mr. Feinberg, chairman and CEO of First Southwest Company, joined the Texas board of Phoenix House in 1996, and has served as its chairman since 2002. A resident of Dallas, he plays an active role in many industry, civic and charitable organizations.

"The work of Phoenix House and the lasting impact it has on our children is something I truly believe in," said Feinberg. "It’s humbling that the First Southwest Company board of directors chose to honor me in this way. I see it as a heartfelt tribute from one great organization to another."

"The generosity of First Southwest Company will help troubled children in Dallas and surrounding counties correct mistakes of the past and start new and better lives," said Michael Hathcoat, director of Phoenix House in Texas. "We are delighted to see Hill Feinberg’s public service and commitment to Phoenix House honored in this way and we are proud that the Academy now bears his name."
